Path was known, Goal was set, all that was to be found, was a destination where both head and heart met.
Celebrity makeup artist and hairstylist who has been in the business for more than 25 years, and has gracefully worked in for two generation of actresses like dimple Kapadia to Twinkle Khanna, Amrita Singh to Sara Ali khan, Jaya Bacchan to Shweta Bacchan to Aishwarya Rai bacchan and so on, was a chartered accountant by profession. But this job never managed to bring that peace and fascination in the life of Ojas. And soon she got bored with this job, and decided to follow where her heart led her.
Ojas, even as a child was always inclined to Bollywood and its glamour. She found joys in using makeup and was always a trendsetter. But all the things that once she did as joys were now turning into passion for Ojas. She knew that the spark that she long for in her profession was trapped in her childhood games. Then she decided to give her passion a professional touch and forced her parents to send her to miami USA where she got trained as a makeup and hair artist. She returned back India as a complete professional.
When Ojas came back to India in the year 1994 after the training in miami school of hair and makeup, little did she think that her Bollywood journey would start with a dream like sequence with call from Urmila Matondkar, for her Hair and makeup, and that too without any trial. Ojas was on board for Urmila’s hair and makeup for her most glamorous movie Rangeela and continued to work with her in several others movies like Pyaar tune kya kiya, and Kambakkht ishq song created a worldwide storm. Later Aishwarya Rai Bacchan happened to call Ojas for her first coke advertisement, which then lead to her films and endorsements too.
Now Ojas was all set to rule, her passion for the job and professional knowledge soon got her on the top of this industry. She now stands conquered with her exceptional knowledge in this field and has won many awards for the same. To mention a few she has won awards for her work with Aishwarya Rai Bacchan in films like Guzaarish, Robot, Action Replayy, etc.
Ojas has also been a brand ambassador for well known brands like L’Oréal Paris, etc. And now owns a Hair and makeup Acadamy in Bandra west. She also has worked with Bollywood stars like Deepika Padukone, Sonam Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Anushka Sharma etc. And has captured the bridal market with wedding of Mittal’s and Ambani’s. Today Ojas is well known name of the industry as a fashion and beauty influencer and a blogger, and continues to inspire people with the quality of the work.
“Follow your dreams and passion and you will make it to the top, do your best in whatever field you are looking forward to and god will do the rest, I truly believe in the fact that talent never needs an introduction, work hard on your potentials and success will anyways follow you then” says Ojas.
