Started too early, reached too far.

Like mother like child is what we usually hear, but this statement has been very true in the case of this extremely talented Make-up artist of today’s generation Harman Kohli.

Her mother being a professional Makeup artist and hairstylist, it would be safe to say that Harman was born with the genes of an artist.

She influenced her the most and helped Harman pave the path towards her dreams, and has always been the guiding light throughout.

The experience of her mother and the fresh skills of Harman made her debut to the beauty industry at a very early phase of her life. She started volunteering and assisting when she was only eighteen.

Harman, a 25 year old is today a very well known professional freelance Hair and Makeup Artist from Chandigarh (Travels globally). She has been working in the beauty industry from the last seven years and has been working with her own brand from the last five years. She has been passionate about art and one of the most exquisite expressions of art- Makeup.

Hairstyling and beauty enhance your look. It’ll give you confidence and it complements your features. You will feel smarter and more capable and it shows that you take care of yourself. Today’s world is full of creative collaboration and intense teamwork. A blessed artist she calls herself to be able to work with the best brides, photographers, models and designers.

Her career path was always set, from working as a full time Makeup artist to working in her own studio. And still she sometimes manages to be a part of the occasional destination weddings too.

She has left no stone unturned to reach the place she owns today. This is a business, and she is just like any other business owner is what she believes in. There is no limit on how successful one can be and it is common for a skilful makeup artist to achieve a six-figure income.

However, at entry level there is a lot of volunteering and assisting.

Emotionally, the work is thrilling, exhilarating, creative and never the same. The Best part about being an artist is that you get to travel to beautiful places, meet a lot of people and listen to their life/love stories.

The beauty industry is changing rapidly in response to the Corona virus pandemic. Both cosmetic retailers and beauty service workers are facing unprecedented challenges to keep their businesses running as usual.

Salons are closing across the nation leaving makeup artists and hairstylists without work.

As a result, it’s becoming increasingly clear that the pandemic will likely leave a long lasting impact on the billion-dollar industry.

It’s disheartening, but a lot of her clients are based abroad and have had to cancel. She assures them that we are all in this together and will ensure we all will work this out in the smoothest way possible by rescheduling the dates on a date that she is available. They are definitely going to have their wedding, they just don’t know when- so everything is at a standstill right now, till rescheduling dates get clear.

Weddings are going to take place anyways (with less number of gathering of course) and the bride will get her makeup done for sure because the pictures are something that’s going to stay with you forever. So Harman with her talent and dedication continues to give her best, and with her sheer positivity continues to aspire and inspire us too.
