She chose the path less travelled
‘A dream that I cherished far beyond possible it stood, but staked everything and chose a different path, owning all the bad experiences and good, to voice the unvoiced, and sing the unsung song, I did every possible, maybe right or wrong!’
Can you imagine giving up on your long-planned career just for the love of something, struggling through the second thoughts, the pressure from your inner self, the dilemma, the confusion, and all this because you love Dogs! Yes, Apoorva Kulkarni, an engineer with all set the path she paced towards achieving something too good. She was a girl with zeal and passion. She had her career the way she wanted it to, nice friends to hang out with, and an amazingly supportive family. But she longed something different, and strongly enough that this made her choose a path less travelled.
It all started while at a workshop that Apoorva happened to visit, changed her entire perspective towards the world and specifically the parallel world, we miss. She knew she had found something that she would yearn to work with, the pets.
She was also inclined towards modeling and loved to get photographed but her career never gave her that space to explore her interests in these parallel fields, after a long thoughtful process she decided to take a chance, and take that leap of faith by starting from square one, but this time with something she loved to do.
She started getting trained as a Pet trainer, the process was joyous far more than exhausting, and slowly but steadily she knew that this was the most right decision that she had ever made. She was happy, fulfilled with pets all around her. Now, while she knew that her one dream had come true she had to focus on the next one. Her next goal is to explore her enthusiasm towards Digital Marketing and be a Social Media Marketer. “I do wish to use these skills to be the voice of voiceless amongst other reasons”, Apoorva says.
She is one of the most beautiful and cheerful people I have known, although it’s just a start to her journey, but her amazing aura and the goals she has set for herself makes her different than the rest, and that’s what made me write this because I wanted people to know the gem while in her process to dazzle.
She has set an example to all the dreamers out there, if you sit and wonder, you will always only find yourself sitting and wondering. But one step towards what you believe in can be that change that you are willing for, and can also give you the confidence to take more firm steps towards your dreams. Apoorva has her set to-do list, have you made yours?
She aims to organize a Rabies vaccination and Animal Birth Control programs for the street dogs and other homeless animals in her hometown and surrounding rural places, and help animals live a safe well-fed, and safe life.
“Life is a journey, not a destination. Make it count” live every moment of your life to the fullest, and keep hustling. Apoorva is someone I believe every girl must look forward to!
